Every aesthetic procedure at our Denver clinic follows a disciplined four-stage clinical pathway anchored on safety and precision.
We reject the conveyor-belt model of fast aesthetic injections. From anatomical dermascope intake to our mandatory 14-day follow-up, your skin care is handled directly by a Colorado-licensed practitioner since 2019.
Stage 1: Intake & Stratum Corneum Health Assessment
Consultations take forty minutes because assessing skin barrier health and muscular movement takes precedence over quick injections. We inspect your medical history, allergy profile, and current topical retinoid use.
- Verification of client age (strictly 18+ required under Colorado and ad network wellness standards).
- Fitzpatrick phototyping to calibrate chemical peel pH or laser light fluence.
- Evaluation of barrier lipids and stratum corneum hydration to prevent compromised healing.
- Pre-treatment active ingredient audit to confirm active retinoids or acids are safely paused.
Dermascope Examination & Dynamic Skin Analysis
Stage 2: Anatomical Muscle Mapping & Dose Formulation
We do not inject blind points. The practitioner marks dynamic muscle vectors while you animate your face: frowning, raising the brow, and smiling. This reveals asymmetrical muscle recruitment and establishes exact unit doses.
Topical Anesthetic Application & Occlusion
Stage 3: Sterile Procedure Execution
All procedures take place in our private Denver suites under directional 3200K task lighting. The practitioner prepares a sterile stainless steel tray, opens sealed manufacturer packaging in your line of sight, and cleanses the treatment area with chlorhexidine or isopropyl prep.
Post-Procedure Cryo Cooling and Barrier Restoration
Stage 4: 14-Day Clinical Follow-Up & Symmetry Review
Neuromodulators require 10 to 14 days to fully stabilize at the motor endplate. We schedule a brief 15-minute follow-up at the two-week mark to assess expressive symmetry, muscle relaxation, and skin texture.
If a hyperactive muscle fiber demands a minor balancing touch-up (1 to 2 units), it is performed with precision. We never make adjustments before day 14 to avoid over-relaxation or ptosis.
What We Refuse to Do in Our Process
Clinical aesthetics requires clear ethical boundaries. The following practices are strictly prohibited at Velviques:
- We do not treat minors under 18 years of age under any circumstance, complying strictly with Colorado laws and digital advertising policies.
- We do not administer walk-in cosmetic injections without a prior facial mapping and written health intake.
- We do not divide a single syringe of filler between two separate clients; all dermal filler units are single-patient and single-use.
- We do not promise plastic or permanent transformations; we provide anatomical relaxation and dermal conditioning with verified timelines.
